Coke

Produced from high-volatile, agglomerating bituminous coals with strong rheological properties. This type of coke is highly porous, brittle, and has low mechanical strength. Its active carbon sites react with carbon dioxide to form carbon monoxide (CO), which acts as a reducing agent for iron ore in the production of ferroalloys.
